Women today are still confronted by sexism: fifty years since the women’s liberation movement, despite substantial gains, there is still so much to fight for. This session will discuss how both paid work and the nuclear family shape women’s oppression and make the case that we need to overthrow capitalism to finally get rid of sexism.
