About this session
Since the US began to develop as an imperial power in the late nineteenth century, South America has been the target of US aggression and expansionism. This session will examine the bloody history of US imperialism in South America, from the Spanish-American war to countless invasions, CIA-backed coups, support for genocidal dictatorships and civil wars.
