11:45am Sat 19 Apr
melbourne

About this session

The IRA, Bobby Sands and the hunger strikes, The Wind That Shakes the Barley, James Connolly and the struggle for Irish independence remain reference points for much of the international progressive left. This talk will explore the evolution of Irish republicanism from a movement that radically challenged British rule to one incorporated into mainstream capitalist politics.
