About this session
"The history of all hitherto existing society is the history of class struggles" - so wrote Marx and Engels in the Communist Manifesto. Class is about more than the divide between rich and poor, it's about who controls the resources that make society run. The ruling class decides how to produce and distribute things, but the working class do all the labour to make it happen. This session will explore the underlying class interests and conflicts that shape capitalism and how they can be overthrown.
