The Middle East has long been a chessboard on which global and regional powers play out their games of domination, oppression and war. However, there is another tradition, that of resistance to colonialism, oppression, and capitalism by the region's oil workers, who have repeatedly demonstrated their enormous power. This talk goes over the rich history of struggle by oil workers and their fight for social progress and liberation for workers across the region.
