Charlie Post


Charlie Post became an active socialist in the early 1970s as a high school activist against the US war in Vietnam. He was active in the movement against South African apartheid and against US intervention against the Central American revolutions in the 1970s and 1980s, and against the both US war in Iraq and Afghanistan. Charlie had been a trade union activist since the mid-1980s, first in a successful strike of clerical workers at Columbia University and since then as a rank and file activists in both the public school and university teachers’ unions in New York City. Charlie was also a member of Solidarity, as US socialist organization from its founding in 1986 through 2015.
