Introduced by Sydney socialist activist Eleanor Morley.
The global revolts of 2019 were often described as ‘leaderless’, and in most cases this was considered a virtue. This talk will interrogate that. Not only are the movements often a lot less leaderless than they might immediately seem, a lack of organisation is a terrible weakness. Yet organisation and leadership per se is not the only consideration (we have seen many sell outs and betrayals over the years) the politics of that leadership is crucial.
