Introduced by socialist economist and author Tom Bramble.

Why does capitalism keep going into crisis? The OECD, IMF and World Bank all agree that the question is not if a recession will eventuate but when. How will a new recession differ from the last time around, the global financial crisis, the worst since the Depression of the 1930s? Can governments and central banks do anything to prevent things spinning out of control again? What will a new recession mean for the crisis of neoliberalism and the breakdown of the established political order? And what will the impact be in Australia where millions have never known a recession but where the economy is already rapidly slowing?
